Laptop Charging with Power Delivery

New USB-C Charging Port from SCHLEGEL – Worry-Free Charging

GEORG SCHLEGEL has launched a new USB-C charging port, RRJ_USB_C_PD, which, with Power Delivery technology, can charge and, in some cases, even power laptops. The charging port delivers up to 45 W and is approved for use in the railway sector.

Efficient Charging with Power Delivery
Power Delivery (PD) enables a charging voltage of up to 20 V and a current of up to 5 A, resulting in a maximum power output of 100 W. The technology automatically determines the optimal charging current, protecting the battery and reducing charging time.

Protection and Durability
To prevent overload, Power Delivery automatically regulates the charging process. If the temperature rises, the charging current is reduced to prevent overheating. Additionally, the charging port features:

  • Output current limitation
  • Short-circuit protection
  • Under-voltage and over-voltage protection

The robust charging port has a mechanical lifespan of up to 10,000 connection cycles and is designed for a 22.3 mm mounting hole. The operating voltage ranges from 12 V to 31 V DC, and the electrical connection is made via a spring clamp, supporting cable cross-sections from 0.2 to 2.5 mm².
