The sheath and insulation materials used for the construction of these special cables are tested and approved by the most rigorous independent international laboratories which certify the essential requirements: no growth of microorganisms on the surface of the cable and no release of toxic substances, as well as none alteration of odor, color or taste that can modify the organoleptic characteristics of the water with which the cable comes into contact. They can be used approximately uo to depths of 600 m, in drinking water, swimming pools (in presence of chlorine) and in some cases in marine waters and other contexts.
