Innovation is a crucial factor for achieving our 2030 plan, and we provide our customers access to Følsgaard’s Innovation Lab.
The aim is to enhance our employees' creativity and their ability to contribute to innovation, enabling them to implement projects and innovative ideas within our teams, organisation, and with customers.

Environmental Initiatives
Our central warehouse and office facilities are designed and organized with both our employees and the environment in mind. We focus on promoting energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy at all our locations, utilizing recyclable and biodegradable materials, creating the best possible and most sustainable working environment, and constantly striving to reduce our carbon footprint. Our employees are highly engaged and resourceful when it comes to finding new and better solutions.
In our warehouse, we focus on waste sorting and reduction, minimizing unnecessary plastic, and using reusable, biodegradable, and minimal packaging materials.
We naturally comply with applicable regulations and provide transparency and insight into our performance through our annual CSRD reporting and COP to the UN Global Compact and EcoVadis.

Free from plastic
Plastic pollution is one of the biggest environmental challenges we face today. To contribute to a more sustainable future, we at Hans Følsgaard A/S have changed the packaging of our products in the container industry. We now use only cardboard boxes instead of single-use plastic bags.
Since we ship full containers of these products, this means we are replacing large amounts of plastic with more environmentally friendly cardboard. It’s a step toward a greener solution with fewer boxes, no plastic bags, and optimized packaging.
From Idea to Action
At Hans Følsgaard in Køge, warehouse manager Jan Vestergaard has made sustainability a key part of daily operations. With a focus on smarter packaging, water-based ink, and recycled cardboard, the company has significantly reduced waste and resource consumption. A cardboard shredder now transforms leftover materials into box filler – an economical and eco-friendly step. This is sustainable innovation in practice!
No to SF6 Gas
In the energy sector, medium-voltage systems have often relied on SF6 gas – a highly potent greenhouse gas with excellent insulating properties, but also with a massive environmental downside. That’s why Hans Følsgaard chooses to say no to this risky gas and yes to safer alternatives when rolling out green energy.
