Fiber Ducts

HFiberDUCT® – uncompromising quality and flexibility

Følsgaard’s own fiber duct series, HFiberDUCT®, is designed to provide you with maximum flexibility, quality, and choice. Here, you can mix and match all features to get exactly the fiber duct you need – regardless of installation type, environmental requirements, or project complexity. The ducts can be customized to your specifications, whether it concerns colors, ribs, coating, material types, or construction, fully in line with our “If you can think it, we can make it” principle.

HFiberDUCT® is available in virgin plastic, re-granulate, or 100% recycled material, without compromising performance. The eco-friendly solution – also called the ECO variant – meets all technical requirements while supporting Følsgaard’s environmental ambitions.

The Natural Choice

100% recycled PE material (HD or LD)

Environmentally friendly: Helps leave less plastic in nature and
    in the oceans

Resource-saving: Supports Zero Waste and the UN’s Goal 12,
“Responsible Consumption and Production,” for sustainable
               development

Drum selection: Choose the most environmentally friendly
    option for each delivery

Quality testing: 8 measurement points are used to ensure
compliance with all standards and recyclability

Choose the Right Material – With the Environment in Mind

Environmental considerations are always important – especially when the choice of material does not affect product performance. Whether you choose virgin plastic, recycled material, or re-granulate, HFiberDUCT® delivers the same high performance.

HFiberDUCT® is also available in 100% recycled material. Often, there is no need to produce new virgin plastic if the product can fully perform its function with recycled plastic. Virgin plastic may, however, be relevant when there are specific color requirements or a need for extra durability in extreme environments.

We always recommend selecting the material that best suits the task – while also taking the environment into account.

HFiberDUCT® is available as virgin plastic, 100% recycled plastic, or re-granulate. Please note that the 12 colors are available for both virgin plastic and re-granulate. Colors for recycled plastic, however, will always be dark/brownish and are therefore usually black with an indication stripe.

Performance remains consistent, and all ducts are tested.

HFiberDUCT® is available in many variants:
  • Single-duct and multi-duct
  • With or without ribs
  • LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
  • Thick-walled for DB (Direct Burial) and thin-walled for DI (Direct Installation)
  • Double-sheathed for protection against sharp stones or similar impacts
  • UV-protected for outdoor installations
Customer-specific colors, stripes, and text on the jacket and ducts:
  • 12 standard colors or transparent (except for recycled material)
  • Stripes and text in black or white according to design; always accompanied by HFiberDUCT®
Coating:

HFiberDUCT® is available with internal ribs and a special surface treatment designed to reduce friction and maximize blowing distance, which reduces costly excavation expenses.

Material options:
  • Virgin plastic
  • 100% recycled plastic
  • 100% re-granulate

Understand the Difference Between Plastic Types

Virgin Plastic:

Virgin plastic/primary plastic is filtered from petroleum; the original material is milky white and slightly transparent. This plastic is filtered to remove most impurities and other substances. 99.99% is pure plastic, similar to 9999 gold. It has strong and consistent quality suitable for any purpose and is a typical choice when there are specific color requirements or high specification demands for use under extreme conditions.

Re-Granulate:

Re-granulate has the same strong and reliable properties as virgin plastic, but with the clear advantage that the material is made from 100% recycled polyethylene, making it a more environmentally friendly choice. Polyethylene comes in several types: LDPE is characterized by lower density, giving the material a softer, more flexible nature and higher transparency. HDPE, on the other hand, has a higher density, making the material significantly stiffer, stronger, and less transparent. Choosing PE re-granulate provides a 100% recycled material that combines high quality and stable performance with a sustainable footprint, allowing you to produce with the same high standards as virgin plastic – but with a significant reduction in the use of new plastic.

100% Recycled Plastic:

100% recycled plastic is a type of plastic that has been recycled multiple times, including material from plastic bottles, jars, cups, cans, etc. Recycled plastic originates from virgin plastic/virgin plastic products, either recycled from previously recycled plastic or repeatedly recycled from itself. It is a good choice for the jacket. Coloring is not possible, as 100% recycled material always turns dark or brownish.

INFRASTRUCTURE COMMUNICATION

From Waste in Nature to Fiber Ducts in the Ground

Delivery Solutions with Consideration for Project and Environment

When you choose HFiberDUCT®, you also decide how the products are delivered. We know that every project is different, which is why we offer multiple delivery solutions so you can easily select the option that best suits your needs, workflow, and budget.

We offer reusable drums, single-use reels, and spools, and we are happy to help you find the solution that makes your work easiest and most efficient.

  • Our reusable drums are an environmentally friendly option that can be used multiple times, thereby reducing waste – provided they are handled correctly and are practical for transport.
  • For tasks where single-use is more practical, we offer single-use reels that are easy to handle and dispose of.
  • Additionally, our smaller ducts can be delivered on spools, which is often an ideal solution for smaller or specialized projects.

Regardless of which solution you choose, our goal is to make installation easier, faster, and more efficient – while minimizing the overall environmental impact. We are happy to advise you on the most appropriate and cost-effective method based on the nature of the task, who is performing the work, and the requirements for the installation itself.

We see this as a partnership, where together we find the delivery format that fits your needs exactly – no more, no less.

Tested Quality with Full Traceability

After extrusion, every single meter of pipe is tracked, and both pressure and ovality tests are performed.

We are able to trace every meter in every batch.
Quality and traceability are your guarantee of an excellent, defect-free product, tested to meet all industry standards.

Choose HFiberDUCT® and avoid costly installation delays.

Testing:
Eight internal and eight external measurements are performed to determine whether the requirements and standards for wall thickness, internal diameter, and ovality are met. For the batches we have measured, the data is stored for traceability purposes.

Once the pipes are on the spools, a ball is passed through to check for any constrictions, after which a pressure of 20 bar is applied to assess the pipe’s integrity.

This process is carried out for all spools. It is essential to emphasize that all of the above requirements must be met to ensure recyclability.
