The Cable Tie Turns 60

This month marks the 60th anniversary of the very first cable tie. The invention was created by Panduit’s founder, Jack Caveney, and later Vice President Roy Moody, who in 1965 developed the so-called “binder strap” – the forerunner of the cable tie we know today.
Since then, the cable tie has become an indispensable part of everything from electrical installations to industrial and network solutions worldwide. With its simple yet effective design, it has made it easy to bundle, organize, and secure cables and countless other things – and has become a symbol of practical innovation.
At Følsgaard, we are proud distributors of Panduit’s cable ties and related cable accessories. Today, Følsgaard offers a wide range of Panduit cable ties in various sizes, materials, and designs – all meeting the highest industry standards for quality and durability.
We warmly congratulate Panduit on its anniversary – and look forward to many more years of innovative solutions that make everyday life easier for our customers.
