This is a specification of surcharges and not a replacement for Hans Følsgaard’s General Terms and Conditions of Sale. Hans Følsgaard’s General Terms and Conditions of Sale shall apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Unless otherwise expressly stated in Hans Følsgaard’s quotation or order confirmation, all prices are stated EX Works (EXW Hans Følsgaard warehouse locations), Incoterms® 2020, and are exclusive of VAT, taxes and other public duties and surcharges, as well as shipping costs. Delivery takes place at the buyer’s expense and risk. Unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing, the above shall apply.
Hans Følsgaard reserves the right to adjust accepted prices in the event of exchange rate fluctuations, increases in raw material prices, governmental measures, or other circumstances beyond Hans Følsgaard’s control. We adjust surcharge rates in line with market developments and reserve the right to change the above without prior notice.
Our customers should be able to avoid fees/surcharges by acting in a way that helps reduce costs throughout the supply chain – to the benefit of all parties. In addition to the stated prices, VAT and taxes are charged separately in accordance with applicable regulations.
Energy Surcharge
An energy surcharge of DKK 79 (EUR 10.6) will be applied to each order processed. If an order is delivered in partial shipments, only one energy surcharge will be charged. For large shipments and specially procured goods, extraordinary surcharges may be applied by agreement.

Producer Responsibility Surcharge for Handling of Packaging Material
For each shipment to destinations in Denmark, an additional surcharge of DKK 14 (EUR 1.9) will be applied on top of the energy surcharge. This covers the handling and disposal of waste in accordance with the producer’s responsibility scheme for packaging material.
Small Order Surcharge
For orders with a total value of less than DKK 2,000 (EUR 270), a small order surcharge of DKK 350 (EUR 50) will be applied.
Express Delivery Surcharge
Where express delivery has been agreed with the customer, an express surcharge will be applied to the order.
Packing and Shipping Surcharges
Packing and shipping costs are applied to all shipments from Hans Følsgaard warehouse locations unless otherwise specifically agreed. The freight surcharge is calculated based on the delivery postcode and the weight and dimensions of the shipment (parcel, pallet, half pallet, oversized pallet, etc.).
For special or requirement-based deliveries, the actual additional costs incurred may be charged.

Return orders
Goods with a value below DKK 1,000 are not accepted for return.
Returns of ordered and delivered goods may only take place by prior agreement and must include the delivery note number and date, as well as a reference number provided at the time of the request, together with a return slip. Goods may normally not be returned later than three (3) months after the delivery date.
Standard stock items are only accepted for return in their original, unopened packaging, and only by prior agreement. When crediting returned goods, a fee of 20% of the sales price will be deducted, and an administration fee of DKK 95 will be charged. All costs related to the handling of returned goods, including freight costs, shall be borne by the buyer.
Customer-specific items (non-stock items procured specifically), cut-to-length items, and discontinued products are not accepted for return.
Cancellation of orders for customer specific non-stock items procured specifically can only take place prior to receipt of our order confirmation.
Important: Always state the item number, delivery note number, reference number, and the name of the contact person with whom the return was agreed. Returns missing this information will not be credited.
Reshipment of Deliveries
If a shipment cannot be delivered due to lack of handling by the customer or incorrect delivery information, the following reshipment surcharges will be applied by the carrier:

As a general rule, cable drums are not accepted for return.
Claims
If any defects or non-conformities are detected in the delivered goods, any claim must be submitted without undue delay.
The goods shall be inspected immediately upon receipt in accordance with good industry practice for any damage or defects.
Any defects or deficiencies must be notified without unnecessary delay and no later than 15 days after the defect was discovered or should reasonably have been discovered.
Where a delivery test has been agreed, any objections must be submitted in writing no later than 5 days after completion of the test; otherwise, the delivery test shall be deemed approved.
